Ethan Smith

Ethan Smith is a Memphis-based independent singer-songwriter, performer, recording artist, and producer whose music blends pop and R&B influences into a heartfelt, modern sound. His love for music began at an early age, and by 8 years old he was already performing on stage. Since then, Ethan has been dedicated to singing, performing, and writing songs that reflect real, lived experiences.

His consistent presence on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook—where he shares covers and original songs—opened the door for him to connect with Memphis music legend David Porter, co-writer of classics like “Soul Man” and “Hold On, I’m Coming.” Ethan also received mentorship from Porter’s protégé, Brandon Lewis, who helped guide his development as both a songwriter and recording artist. These influences gave Ethan valuable insight into the music business and shaped his creative approach to making authentic, lasting music.

Ethan has performed at iconic Memphis venues including Lafayette’s Music Room, Alfred’s, and Tin Roof on Beale, as well as shows across Mississippi and Arkansas. His catalog of original music includes “Red Light Kisses”. alongside “Take It Slow,” “Crush,” and “All I Ever Needed.” Currently a full-time music teacher, Ethan balances education, performing, and recording while continuing to share new music with audiences online and on stage. His goal remains simple: to create music that is genuine, honest, and deeply relatable.
